Why your money really makes a difference

Tikik, Pemba and Nani taking cloth for new cloths up to Muktinath
Being a woman in the Himalayas of Nepal most of the time means illiteracy, hard physical labour and early motherhood.
Their religious culture enables young Buddhist nuns to avoid that predicament and offers them the opportunity of spending time on study and practice within their own communities. However, funding is required to enable the nuns to focus on their study and practice. It is for this reason that the MFI supports the Tibetan Buddhist Muktinath Nuns.

Donation
You can contribute to help a woman in the Himalayas. We most welcome your donation for livelihood, medical care and education of the Muktinath Nuns. The money will be delivered to the nuns December 2009. The nuns keep accounts on the spending of the money, checked by the abbot of Muktinath-Chumig Gyatsa, Lama Wangyal.
